It was a good experience for me to read part of my memoir out loud in public. I think it went ok for my first time. I recalled dropping a high school English class many decades ago simply because the syllabus outlined for us to read out loud to the class our writings. It's nice to see I outgrew fear in that area!!
I look at the magazine often and think how it all came together and if it wasn't for the encouragement, support and help with editing between Junebug and Patti there would have been no story to read! SJ Delta has a couple of great staff to help us students with our writings!!!

Inspiration all around...
I just got off work and did some reviewing of this week's assignment, "show vs tell". It was good to get excellent feedback and examples by Junebug..The woman is so thorough and talented!
I look forward in having fun in developing a scene that "shows". I am inspired!!!
In addition, I recieved an email from a woman who looked to my belated Sereta for inpiration as she also was battling cancer duirng the time Sereta was. I mailed her a "Final Draft" magazine and she wrote back:

It's always a good feeling to receive a nice complement.
I think this will be a good week despite the long hours at work!!

Show vs Tell
I needed to get a head start on this week assignment as I am working 7 days a week before the 4/18th tax deadline!
I was up until 1am getting back in the writing mood after the spring break. I missed all that comes with writing. (music, peets coffee, quiet time and creative thoughts. thesaurus, dictionary).
Well, I have to get ready for church with my curandero, papo, and then off to work for a few hours. I hope to find some time later tonight to finish up my assignment. I am working on the first part of the story again.
How I found the time this morning to clipped away some weeds in the garden and do a quick 35 min walk/jog is beyond my expectation for the day!
